A note from Holly, The Master Herbalist:
When we purchased the domain for utokia.com we agreed to share the work of Trevor Bond, the writer of a Rock Opera based on a made up world called Utokia. We hit it off because we arrived to similar conclusions and thoughts about what Utokia meant to us. As part of our acquisition deal we agreed to commemorate his work and the rest of this post is dedicated to that purpose and is written by the composer, Trevor Bond.
Do me a favor and pop a garden gummy and listen to the soundtrack as you read this post.

A Letter about the Utokia Rock Opera
From Trevor Bond
Not long ago I was approached by Adam and Holly as the keeper of the Utokia.com domain. Long ago, before legalization in Canada, I’m Canadian you see, I required a creative distraction from my soulless market/branding position and endeavored to write a Rock Opera of sorts that tells the tale of how weed saves the world. That’s it in a nutshell. A longer-winded synopsis is below.
Over 5 years I wrote and produced the soundtrack for a musical that has yet to see the light of day. Netflix expressed passing interest but found it confusing and chaotic. Which it is. Unless you’re high. Then it makes perfect sense.
Adam and Holly approached their business in a similar chaotic, creative environment, which I appreciated. I quickly became a big fan of their approach, collectibles, stories, art, and of course, doja. Sadly I haven’t been able to personally partake, but someday I hope to.
So now Adam and Holly are the keepers of the domain and in no small way, holding the dim and strange torch that is Utokia (the original Musical Soundtrack).
My hope is simple, that you, kind reader, will take a 1 hour and 24 minutes of an evening, get geeked up, open the lyric book, put on your headphones and enjoy a musical ride that is guaranteed to leave you with more questions than answers. Oh, and entertain. That’s all I ask. If we all weren’t a bunch of stoners, I’d ask you to start a “Go Fund Me” campaign and help finance the world premiere on-stage production that would include the biggest hot boxing of a crowd in history. High hopes. I know it.

Synopsis
Topia – an underwater city built over the past two centuries by a
colony of peace-loving geniuses escaping the violence of our world
– is in crisis. Despite environmental technologies beyond our
imaginations, their secret world is deteriorating.
In the city’s Great Hall Topia’s beloved leader, Professor Mas,
whose tenure is rapidly coming to an end, announces that the time
has come to find her successor from the world ‘above’. The
Topians, filled with anxiety, review the results of their
selection process and find slim pickings.
There’s Blake, a handsome and brave officer of the law who rails
against the lack of justice and peace in his world. And Brus, a
creative fellow who grows customized medicinal strains of
marijuana to heal the sick. But Brus arouses the suspicion of the
Topian authorities and is eliminated from the selection process.
A disappointed and confused Prof Mas makes an unprecedented voyage
to the frightful world she abandoned long ago to discover for
herself whether Brus is as devilish as they say - followed
secretly by Sassy, Topia’s administrator.
Befriending Brus and his crew, Prof Mas re-discovers the mystery
and beauty of a world we take for granted. Seeing in Brus the
possibility of saving her people, she invites him to Topia as her
guest. Catching wind of this, Sassy runs to Blake.
Things start to unravel as Brus is confronted by the fear and
contempt the Topians have for his people and their polluted,
violent ways. Meanwhile Brus’ staff is ‘arrested’ in a bust
spearheaded by Blake. But Blake’s officers are in fact Topian
insurgents sent to retrieve Brus’ crew and bring them to Topia.
On news of the passing of Prof Mas, Brus, his crew, and the Topian
leadership come together, seeing and doing things they never
dreamed possible. Introducing Utokia!
